But our heroine Lali, who hails from the village of Thunumberland, doesn’t know much of the world. And while she can talk, she is just the simple kind of goat that walks on four legs, not too unlike the goats of today.
THE SEASON is summer, and she develops a debilitating ailment. Though her father is the wisest in the community, her condition has deteriorated beyond his capabilities. Go east, he says. Find the fabled Good Doctor. His powers can save you. Naturally, Lali starts her journey with optimism. But the horrors that await her outside Thunumberland are unspeakable.
